Hi there- you should have your survey by now, but if there's an issue of any kind, please reach out to [email protected]. We're still adjusting a couple things, but please let us know if you see something we miss.
ALSO: if you used Apple to sign in with "hide my email" you unfortunately will have to contact us to change it, as those temp emails can only receive mail from wherever you initially signed in (in this case, Kickstarter) . So backerkit emails will (and probably already have) bounced. If you send us a private message here, or contact us at the email above, we can update your email and send out your surveys.

If you got your surveys you may have noticed the shipping was high on a couple countries, there was an error in setup and we adjusted it.
We're hearing some dismay over INTL shipping costs and want to make it clear this is almost a 4 KG, 8 lb shipment and thus even with the heavily discounted options we found for european fulfillment, there is no cheap way to ship a book this big.
For what it's worth, the price to ship them from the US would have probably caused permanent trauma, which is why we haven't shared it. But for the EU nations the final price is MUCH cheaper. For the UK, we had to settle for a 25% discount as we're shipping from Germany. (And from Asia to Germany before that)
We don't like these costs any more than you do, it's just the nature of modern shipping. Some of you may find some cool stuff in your box to offset the pain of higher costs.

Tomorrow Backerkit will start a limited "smoke test" so some of you will get your surveys and be able to finalize your order. Once we're sure we haven't made 1000 mistakes on the test run, the rest of the surveys will go out and we can finally get this show on the road.

Here's a sneaky peek at the Lux case and its die cut cover. Keep in mind these are mockups, not 100% print quality, they're just to make sure everything lines up, but I think they're pretty exciting.

the book has been proofed and I should be able to show you physical copies next month (although it'll take a while after that to receive them, as they're sent by sea)
We were hoping to have surveys out this week (still might!) but the peculiarities of all the different locales means approving the surveys/preorder store is a longer process for Backerkit to approve.
If you're in Europe, the fulfillment option is gonna save you probably about 40% off the price of shipping from the US. It's still a big book, so it's not cheap, but it's not as absurdly bad as it is from here. Australia and Chile- you guys unfortunately have by far the highest cost, no matter where I send them from, so while there's nothing we can really do about that, we're sweetiepies and thus gonna throw in some extra goodies for you to soften the blow.
As soon as we have approval, we'll send it out, and square everyone's costs away.
